Michelle drew her last breath surrounded by family and friends. She passed away July 19, 2016, less than an hour before her official 50th birthday.
We have truly felt light and love from so many of you throughout this experience. Thank you so much for your service, your love, your prayers and your faith.
We will post details of the service when they become available.
My condolences to you, her family. I knew her for such a brief time (in Phoenix) but I will always remember her smile, happiness, and friendly attitude. What an amazing 50 years she had! -Becky Bunting
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking, A bride prepared for the Bridegroom. She was light and love to me and others, and I will think of her example often for all my life. May you all have great joy and comfort in the richness of her days and the ripples of her love through the future generations. Thank you for sharing this with all of us who love Michelle. What a glorious return it must be.
ReplyDeleteShe will be greatly missed and remembered. Please accept my condolence to you all.

Happy Birthday my sweet niece. Uncle David and I will celebrate you today. We LOVE you and will miss you. WELL DONE.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sacred Birthday gift--leaving behind the mortal pain and suffering of this life for the love and light of Heaven. We are so glad she is finally free of pain. We will remember her beautiful testimony, genuine spirit, and life of service as a disciple of Christ. Thank you for letting us share in this journey with you. It has changed our family for the better. We love Michelle! What a blessing for her to be surrounded by loved ones as she was called home. We have the greatest admiration for Jeanette and your whole family for all that you have done this year--so many beautiful examples of Christ-like love. We will pray that each of you might feel the peace and comfort that you need.

ReplyDeleteShe has graduated and on her birthday, no less. I hope you can be comforted, as I have been, by Alma 40:12 In the spirit world, the spirits of the righteous “are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow". Much love to you, Steve and Ilsa, and to your lovely family
ReplyDeleteWe are grateful her pain has been lifted. Her light was greeted with even greater light. She has left her mark on our lives. We are better people having rubbed shoulders with Michelle. We are grateful to call her our friend for life, friend for eternity. May the Love and comfort of the Lord surround you at this time. We love each of you.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing legacy she has left behind. There is no one like Michelle! I feel so blessed to have kindled a life-long friendship with her 26 years ago as college roommates! My heart is heavy for all those who mourn her loss and will feel her absence daily. What a magnificent life she lived! My heart goes out to her dear family who will surely feel a great hole in their lives. May you find peace in the beautiful Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
ReplyDeleteEveryone has written such beautiful comments. I echo what has been said. I feel almost numb and unable to put into words how I feel about Michelle at this time. She will be greatly missed and my heart is so sad. Loves to you all.
ReplyDeleteSis Dubois, I love you! What an amazing, fun, spiritual, loving person you are. You will be missed but I'm very grateful your pain is over! Prayers, thoughts and love to all of sister Dubois' family.
ReplyDeleteI loved Michelle, I served with her in yw's years ago in the Mer. 5th ward. She inspired me personally so many times. She could look me straight in the eye, and tell it to me straight with profound wisdom or humor! She made me a better person, and I'm feeling so sad, but feel so lucky to have known such an amazing woman, and elect lady. I know the Savior better because I knew Michelle.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect comment. I feel the same. Thanks for saying it like this Katie.
DeleteHelaman 5:12. Oh Remember, Remember... I'll never forget the day Sis Dubois taught us about this scripture. (20+ years ago!) She had us highlight all the times it said remember in this chapter. I've done it in every set of scriptures I own. Oh how I will remember You Sister Dubois! You taught me to love the scriptures and the Lord. You taught me what a firm foundation is. "If ye bring but one soul unto me how great shall be your joy..." You brought thousands unto Him. How great is your joy!! Until we meet again!! ❤️ -Kristen Clegg Buchanan (WJHS class of '97).
